Yes, I am back for as long as I can, hopefully will resume regular posting soon :)

Has anyone played the indie horror game ‘Paranormal’?
There are free Beta’s out there if you’d like too, it’s definitely worth it if you love horror. Scared me quite a bit.

Okay, so I a recent boom in followers made me remember this blog again.
I will try and post again, it’s just a lot of stuff has happened and yeah.

I still love horror and will have new material soon:D

Hide and Seek Alone or Hitori Kakurenbo

You need:
- A doll with legs. Not a human doll, since there’s a great possibilty that the spirit will not leave the doll. Don’t use a doll that you like because of the same reason. The doll will be a place for the spirit to come.
- Rice. The spirit that eats this offering is said to grow stronger.
- Red thread. This later symbolizes blood and acts as a restraint.
- Something from your body. It’s usually fingernails, but some use their own blood, skin, hair, etc. It becomes a curse if you use someone else’s body parts.
- Weapon. Something to stab the doll so that you can anger it. Real knives are dangerous, so most people use pencil or needle.
- Salt/Saltwater or alcohol. Without this, the game won’t end. The material is used to get rid of the spirit.
- Safety place. You NEED a safe sanctuary, somewhere preferably with lots of crosses, god statues, etc.
- A name. Giving the spirit a name is the most powerful thing a human can give to the spirit. Names give spirits great power.

Method:
1.Cut the doll and replace the foam/stuffing with rice.
2. Place something from your body into the doll.
3. Wrap the doll with a red thread as if to hinder(stop) the doll.
4. In a bathroom, pour water onto a large washbasin and find a place to hide.
5. Place a cup of salt water in the place before starting the game.

To play:
Start at 3 AM, since that is the time where spirits are the most free to move.
Give the doll a name (for example: Bob).
When the clock strikes 3, close your eyes and say, “First tagger is (doll name)! First tagger is (doll name)! First tagger is (doll name)!”
When talking to the doll, you MUST talk sternly.
Now go to the bathroom and place the doll in the washbasin.
Turn off all lights.
Close your eyes and count to 10, get your prepared weapon and go to the bathroom.
Go to the doll in the washbasin and say

"I found you (doll name)!"

And stab the doll.
After that, close your eyes again and say

"Now (doll name) is it! Now (doll name) is it! Now (doll name) is it!"

Place the weapon next to the doll and go to your hiding (safety) place. You MUST lock the door.
Also, lock all windows and doors.
Place the salt water in your mouth. DO NOT SPIT IT OUT. The salt water will protect you from the spirit.

To end the game:
When you want to end the game, take leftover salt water or alcohol and find the doll.
The doll may not be in the bathroom. (There are instances of the doll being outside).
When you find the doll, spit out the salt water and spray the leftover.
Close your eyes and shout
"I win! I win! I win!"

The doll will give up.
It is advised to burn the doll after the game.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
-You MUST play this game alone. If more than one person does this at the same time, there’s a great chance that someone will be possessed.
- Do NOT go outside the house.
- Keep the game under 2 hours. After this time, the spirit will be too strong to remove.
- When hiding, you MUST be silent.
- Turn off all electronics before starting.
- When running away, do NOT look back. Only look forward. And don’t sleep while playing - the doll may stab you.
- When discovered by the doll, you can get a small wound or be possessed. When the doll finds you, your weapon will be around the floor or in your pocket, so you must be careful.
- After the game is over, it is important to clean up properly. Spray salt on every corner of the house, especially places where you put the doll and where you found it. Salt scares away any spirits.

Experiences:
People say that usually the TV flips channels on its own, perfectly normal lights flicker, the TV volume seems to change (if you left TV and other lights on), doors seem to open and shut on their own, or you can hear the sound of laughter. Often when the doll is found, it’s away from the its original spot. Sometimes, the demons actually chase after your spot and demand that you come out.

The Hook

One night, a couple are traveling on the road. As they are listening to the radio, when breaking news comes on. A patient from the local madhouse has escaped. The couple become filled with fear, so they decide to get to their house as soon as possible.

Unfortunatly, the car is almost out of gas. So they drive under a large oak tree, and they run out of gas. There is a sound in the bushes, and the guy decides to check it out. Before he leaves, he tells the girl to not leave, and three knocks will let her know that that’s him. So he leaves.

Time passes, and the girl becomes worried. But she hears three knocks and becomes relieved, but the knocking continues. She becomes terrified, and crawls to the back of the seat, and stays there until morning. She wakes up to see the police opening the door.

They guide her out and walk her away from the car, and warn her not to look behind her. But she could not restrain her curiosity and looks behing her. She falls to the ground crying. Her boyfriend is hanging from the tree, and slashed from his neck to his groin. The continous knocking was his feet tapping the roof of the car.

The Pool

The other day my younger brother went out to take a walk, as he often did in the evenings. On this day he was going out particularly late, and fresh stars were already beginning to shimmer icily in the rose-skirted sky. He asked me, like he often did, if I wanted to tag along with him, but I turned down his offer. I needed to work on an essay that was due at the end of the week, and I told him as much. After I’d been working on it for some time and was considering wrapping it up for the night, I heard my brother outside, calling my name. I stepped out onto the balcony and looked out to see him swimming in the pool beneath me. He waved at me and beckoned. What the hell, I decided, it’s a great way to relax. I went to change into something more suitable for swimming and headed down the stairs and out the door. On my way to the pool, I ran into my brother. “Weren’t you just in the pool?” I asked. He looked at me like I had the plague. “No? Why would you think that?”

“Well, I just saw you,” I answered. I looked over at the pool in time to see a dark figure dive into the water. I watched for some time, but no one ever surfaced.

We went over to the pool to investigate, and found that the water was blacker than the sky. We ran like hell.

The Sims 3

Hello, I want to tell you something that happened to me, it on the 27th of February on 2009. I got a copy of Sims 3, and I was excited. I was a fan of E.A games, and I loved the previous sims games.

I got it from some game pawn shop called “The Daily Gamer”. It sold old games, new games, equipment, you name it. My main gamestore was closed, so I bought the game. It was used, so it was discounted. I bought the CD and got back to my house. I was excited, but the disc was scratched, so I was pretty angry, but I got my disk cleaner set and cleaned it. As I put the CD in my computer, I noticed something odd about the CD’s logo. No one was smiling, they all looked emotionless. It opened up, and I was ready to play the game.

I watched the intro. Nothing was heard, except for the cheerful music, after it finished, I made my profile. I only made one person, and I made my character as I wanted him, but the weird was that he wasn’t moving at all. He wasn’t making sound and he had a straight face. I made him a young adult and gave him 5 traits. I noticed a weird one though, something that didn’t look appropiate for a sims game. Cannibal. I just chose stuff that suited me, and then I made my guy, it then gave me the option of making a house or buying a house, I bought a house, and bought the furniture myself.

My sim didn’t get happy, he only got angry or sad, I though that this was getting weird. I decided to make something to eat for my sim, the only options were carnivore foods, like “Make Pig Tongue”. I thought nothing of it. I then got a job after getting used to my new house, and I saw “Butcher”, “Theatre” and “Crime”. Butcher? What kind of game is this? It wouldn’t let me accept the Theatre or Crime jobs, and it wouldn’t let me exit the page. So I just clicked “Butcher” and got on with it.

As soon as that happened, a car beep came abruptly from outside, and it was extremely loud, it made my ears ring, and I almost had a freaking heart atack, I fast fowarded time, and I heard in on my guys job. I heard a bunch of screams and moans, it was at a factory that wasn’t regularly there, and my characters uniform was always stained in blood, what was weird is, he never changed clothes, I tried changing them into a different outfit, it didn’t help at all. I then tried to buy a bed, but it would only let me buy meat hooks. I bought one out of curiosity, the only option it had was “Hang Body”.

An Oblivion Mod

The first thing that I must point out is that this is NOT for you tl;dr idiots out there. This is, however, a true story about the strangest and probably most demented Oblivion mod I’ve ever come across. What makes that true is the fact that it’s more than just a mod. It’s something else. To this day I’m baffled as to what it “really” was, or how the hell most of it was even possible.

It all started about a year ago. After 2 years of playing the shit out of the main quest, guilds, Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, I finally started filling up on a bunch of mods that even looked slightly appealing to me. Anyways, one day I was browsing through Planet Elder Scrolls and one mod in particular caught my attention, as it had no screenshots and the description simply read: “HIGH LEVEL AND SKILLED ONLY, PLEASE!!” The file itself was a single .esp, only a byte large. I was clueless at to what it could be, which either unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) brought me to give it a whirl.

I downloaded it and opened up Windows Explorer, only to find to my surprise that it had also come with a .txt file. The .txt was named HELP, while the .esp was named him (please don’t get confused though, it’s not an intentional message saying help him, the names will be explained).

I opened up the .txt file. The only thing in it was a short yet strange message:

“killed him after he killed her, lost game disc, someone else to do it or curse”

I couldn’t help but laugh after reading the lack of meaning and grammar in the note. I should have known it was probably just some 10 year old noob modder trying to make a pathetic quest. But I decided to proceed with placing it to my data, as it may have been a foreign uploader and maybe it would be some interesting mystery plot. I checked the .esp and started up the game.

Upon loading my character (A level 71 Imperial knight, named Joe for the hell of it), I immediately spawned in a pitch black cave with no music or typical ambience. Just dead silence. I luckily had a few torches on me, and light one to find that it was actually a cramped straight tunnel with no door behind me. I had no choice but to advance forward.

After about 10 seconds of running, I entered a large chamber with a single small wooden door at the opposite side. There was blood everywhere however, and not like the typical Oblivion decals as you see in the Arena. It looked so… real. It had to be one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen in a game. I was even able to see teeth scattered in some places, along with a few fingers and bones. All of them looked so much more realistic than Oblivion itself. It gave me the shivers, and I hesitated to open the door. But I had no other option. I activated the door…

I was now standing in what looked like a typical fort interior, except for the same blood and gore scattered everywhere. I only took about 5 steps when I suddenly heard a distant voice say: “Welcome… player…”

Sleep Paralysis.

My mother used to tell me about how sleep paralysis, really just mean that a dead person was laying, or sitting on your chest. I never believed her. One night however, as I laid down, I couldn’t sleep. It was an oddly quiet night, and I was really tired. I closed my eyes, and tried to sleep. Suddenly I heard two distinct childish voices, one on my left, another on my right.

"Say, lets play on her like last time."
I didn’t open my eyes. I was terrified.
" Which game? The one where we stare at her, or where we suffocate her?"
I pretended to sleep. I didn’t want to see their faces. But I could feel their hands on mine, and I their hands where cold and stiff. I couldn’t move at all. I just laid there in the dark, with closed eyes, trying to regulate my breathing, and block them out.
"Lets play now!" One voice said.
"Not yet," the other one said. "She is still not asleep."
My eyes opened up quickly, as I tried to move, but my body didn’t respond. They where little eyeless girls, their faces directing themselves at me.

The next morning I woke up with a scar on my wrists and legs as if someone had tightly pinned me down to the bed all night. I never slept in that room again.

“Did you hear that?”

I kept my eyes closed, but listened for a moment. All I heard were crickets. “Nope.”

We were silent for a moment.

“You don’t hear it?”

I finally sat up and glared at the girl beside me. “Are you trying to freak me out or something? Because it’s so not working. There’s nothing in this house, okay?”

She frowned and pulled the covers up to her nose. “But don’t you hear it? The footsteps, running up and down the basement stairs.”

I sighed. “No, I don’t hear the… the…” I trailed off as the sound of children’s laughter filled the house, echoing in the rooms. My heart skipped a beat, and I felt cold sweat break out across my forehead.

She bit her lip. “See?”

I pondered what it could have been for a moment, and after drawing a blank, I made a decision. “Okay, okay,” I mumbled, “We’ll check it out.” I threw the sheets off my bed and swung my feet over the edge.

“No, don’t check it out!” she half yelled, half whispered. She grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back into my bed. “Stupid, in the movies you never go check it out. You stay with your friend until morning, because she’s really, really scared.”

I saw the fear in her eyes. I looked at my bedroom door, then rolled my eyes and said, “But there might be someone in the house.”

“And pray tell, how did they get in?” There’s that damn sarcasm.

Again, I rolled my eyes at her. “Fine.”

I pulled the covers back over my head, and got into bed. She seemed a little more at ease, and we both lay there until morning, listening to the children whispering, giggling, and running around.

When the sun came up, the voices faded, and we heard the footsteps run down the stairs, and there was silence for the next four hours we lay there. Just to make sure they were gone.

After a while, I sighed. “They’re gone now, let’s go look at the damage.”

My friend frowned at me. “But, I’m scared, Alexis.”

“Well,” I shrugged, “I’m not. Let’s go.”

I got up, and padded quietly to the door. Kasey followed behind me, clinging to the fabric of my night gown. I grabbed the door handle and…

“AH!” I yelled, and Kasey jumped ten feet into the air. She screamed for a while before realizing I was joking.

She took a shaking breath, and slapped my arm, yelling back, “That wasn’t funny!”

I snickered, “Whatever.”

I opened the door, and walked down the hallway. She ran ahead of me and told me, “Don’t you ever do that again.”

She went around the corner, and I shook my head in amusement. Scared for nothing, that stupid gi-

I jumped when she let out a loud, long, ear piercing scream. She kept screaming. And screaming.

“What? Jesus!” I ran around the corner, into the living room, where she stood, stiff, wide-eyed. Her mouth was open,  and she was screaming at the top of her lungs at the sight on the couch.

I turned my head to see what had her so frightened.

There was my dog.
